ParkTool Cassette Lock Ring Tool with Guide FR-5.2GT

The ParkTool FR-5.2GT is used to remove and install the cassette lockring and cogs on rear wheel with a thru axle. Fits Shimano, SRAM (including 1x), SunRace, and other cassette lockrings. Also fits some Shimano and similar disc brake lockrings.

The tool features a heat treated alloy steel and a one inch base that fits wrench or bench vise. The FR-5.2GT is designed specifically for use when removing and installing cassette lockrings from thru axle hubs.

• Utilizes a 12mm guide pin to stabilize the tool in use
• Fits 12-spline cassette lockrings from Shimano®, SRAM® (including 1x), SunRace®, SunTour®, Chris King® and others (23.5mm diameter)
• Fits some Shimano® and similar disc brake rotor lockring

Instructions: To remove cassette lockring, insert guide pin into hollow axle of hub and splined body into splines of cassette lockring. Hold cassette cogs with chain whip (Park Tool SR-1 or similar) and turn FR-5.2GT counterclockwise with adjustable wrench until lockring is removed. To install lockring, fit FR-5.2GT into splines of lockring and turn clockwise until tight.
